This 6-class course by Ken Graun is for astronomy enthusiasts who want to get acquainted with the night sky. Participants will learn how to identify the constellations and gain hands-on experience with telescopes. Class 6 ā¢ 2 hours Objective: Learn about and observe Deep Sky Objects (Star Clusters, Nebulae and Galaxies). On March 25, the library will host an author talk with bestselling author Philip Caputo. Caputo will be in the library reading room from 4 to 6 pm to talk about his published works as well as his upcoming novel, "Memory and Desire". His new book is described as: " a story about love and the persistence of love, about desire and desire remembered, and the reunion of a fifty-ear-old man with a son he fathered out of wedlock in his youth.
The library's 6 class astronomy course taught by Ken Graun will come to an end onĀ April 15th. The last class will focus on our constellations. to commemorate this final class, the library's telescope will become available for check out. Library card holders over 18 will be able to check out the telescope for one week at a time.
