Arizona Humanities Council Chatauquan: Joan Sandin as Eulalia “Sister” Bourne

Join us in Cady Hall, Sunday afternoon, March 25 @ 4:00pm for a bit of Arizona History with Eulalia “Sister” Bourne; homesteader, rancher, author and teacher. Sister arrived in Arizona, just after statehood, come hear her stories including how she lost her first teaching job for dancing the one step, called a “vulgar rag”by the clerk of her school board.

Come by and check out one of her books from the library, prior to the event.

Town Hall Meeting: US Forest Service on mining exploration in the Patagonia Mountains

The USFS will attend a town hall meeting in Patagonia in the depot, on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 @ 5:30 PM. The meeting will provide the public with information on the mining explorations in the Patagonia Mountains, the 1872 Mining Law and its interaction with NEPA.
